Unique Technology CAs-CHIP (Core Technology)

CAs-CHIP Features and applications

CAs-CHIP developed by our company has the main features described below.

(i)Due to its small thermal capacity, it allows rapid heating and cooling.

(ii)It is capable of high-speed chemical reactions by microchemistry.

(iii)By use of the capillary action an equal volume of sample can be easily inserted and very small amounts of sample can be used for analysis (50 nL / assay).

(iv)Analysis of a number of different items and targets can be performed simultaneously with the same CAs-CHIP.

(v)Presence or absence of chemical reactions can be easily visualized by the use of fluorescent dyes and such.

As these features show, the CAs-CHIP is suitable for speed and efficiency of various existing biochemical reactions (i.e. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) or Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and so on). Therefore, we are currently advancing its development as a diagnostic device.

By using the CAs-CHIP as a reaction vessel, we have successfully reduced the analysis time, which conventionally requires at least one to several hours when using the PCR or ELISA measuring principles, to between a few minutes - 10 minutes.

We expect that the device will be used in areas such as medical and health care, food hygiene and environmental assessment where these general biochemical reactions are presently used for analysis and testing, in order to speed up analysis and testing.
